What Do The "Mormons" Believe About Christ: Part 2

Ok, awhile ago I did a post about what we believe about Jesus Christ. I thank all of you who took the time to look at it, but now it's up for Round 2!

Missionary Work

Some of you may be wondering how on earth this relates to Jesus Christ. Well, this is what He did during His life, and what He commanded His Apostles of old to do. Throughout the New Testament His Apostles did just what He said to do. And it (meaning missionary work) is also what His church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, does today. Missionaries today share what Jesus did then; along with the ancient, and modern, Apostles. Their message is totally focused on the living Savior.

Are you not sure about that? Or do you disagree with it? If so, why not meet with the missionaries of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints? I'm sure they can help you answer questions or concerns that you have.

Remembering Him

Oftentimes I feel like I'm not doing enough. You know, sort of like I don't do everything I'm supposed to do. That rather depresses me. Because God expects more of me than just to "do whatever" and be fine and dandy - apart from being just a "good" person. Some might wonder and ask about it; but, yes, although He wants me to be good, He also wants me to do more. Sometimes it's better to remember, than to forget. But how do we remember Him? By doing what He says.

Fishers of Men

It sure takes a lot of faith to follow Jesus Christ. I found this awesome story about a grandpa and his granddaughter, in it he tells of two who followed Jesus and became fishers of men!

Necessity of Christ's Atonement

The necessity of Christ's Atonement is seldom recognized or understood. But for the word that describes how necessary it is, it would be absolutely.

The Law of Moses

The law of Moses was (as given to him by God in the Old Testament) a very strict law given to ancient Israel after the parting of the Red Sea. But was there more to this other than just a lifestyle or a fashonable thing to do? There actually is:

The Perfect Examplar

Jesus lived the only perfect life that has ever been lived. He asks us to be perfect as He, and His Father, is (Matt. 5:48; 3 Ne. 12:48). Knowing that we would fail at this he willingly gave His life for us during His Atonement for us, making it possible that, if we repent, as if we did. So why not follow His perfect example and live?

The Least of These...

While in His mortal sojurn on earth Jesus taught His Apostles that the least of them would also be the greatest among them. To demonstrate it he used an object lesson. The object? A simple child! During His life He showed that He loved the children. However hard it is to love them sometimes, we must remember that He said we must have child-like qualities. So we need to be child-like as we learn and live the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

The Resurrection of Jesus Christ

All of us, at one time or other, has lost a loved one. We each, or those of us who remembers the occasion, has felt those real downer feelings. Don't worry, Christ has died and risen from the dead for you and them. We shall all see each other again in our bodies! Many have testified of this: Job, John, Matthew, Paul, Acts, Mark, Luke, among others.

The Savior's Last Week In Mortality

So, what really did happen His last week? Find out what here:

The Bible, First Testament of Jesus Christ

The Bible testifies of Jesus Christ during His life over in the middle east. It has survived many years, which is totally awesome, because I love the bible (just like any other Latterday Saint/christian of another denomination).

But it is not the only one that testifies of Him and His divinity. The Book of Mormon: Another Testament of Jesus Christ also testifies of that fact, and, while not as...well known, or as widely published, will strengthen your faith just like the Bible (although we know that it is not the Bible).

Our Redeemer, Jesus Christ, The Son of God

What was His role as my Redeemer? And why is that important? Does any other book testify of Him and His role in relation to mankind? The answer to the last one is yes, and the other questions can be found in both this book, The Book of Mormon: Another Testiment of Jesus Christ, and also in the Holy Bible (any addition or version).

Come, Follow Him, and See!

In the scriptures, Christ said to "follow Me." How do we "follow Him?" Do we just be good people? Or do we only do some of what He said and did and not help our fellow man be better? No. He has said that we need to first love Him, and then to love our neighbor (Matt. 22:34-40). How do we show our love for God? Jesus simply said: "If ye love Me, keep my commandments" (John 14:15). If we love Him, we will do all He says; which includes to love our neighbor, being baptized, etc. But there is only one way, really, that we can follow Him, that is first to learn of Him.

Well, He's waiting. Why don't you look at the link to find out more about Him so you can follow Him even more?

Why an Atonement?

Why did Christ have to go through all that pain for us? Why couldn't His deciples not go with Him?
http://lds.org/ensign/2008/03/the-atonement-of-jesus-christ?lang=eng
Well, whatever your problem, it can be solved by the Atonement. Even if you don't think you can make it back, please reconsider and come back!

Whom Say Ye That I Am?

In the New Testament Jesus asks Peter if he knows Who He is. Peter answers that Jesus is the Son of God. If Jesus asked you that question, namely "whom say ye that I am" what would you say? I know what I'd say. And when He comes again, will you have an acceptable answer?

Everything is an answer, even silence, so watch it.
